Having a professional guide give you a tour can be a great way to get familiar with Cooperstown, NY, by land or by lake!

A narrative tour of Otsego Lake on the modern, clean Glimmerglass Queen affords an educational, scenic and refreshing way to learn about this stunning nine-mile lake.  Here, you can learn about Jame's Fenimore Cooperstown's love for the lake and the beautiful surrounding hills.  The boat takes off hourly from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the Lakefront Motel, Restaurant and Marina at Lakefront Park during the warm weather season, with different hours off-season.  The Glimmerglass Queen is also available for private chartered parties. For more information, please visit the Glimmerglass Queen Web Site, or call 607-547-9511.

Other Otsego Lake boat tours include C.P. Charter's Service (Tel. 315-858-3922) for private fishing and historical sightseeing tours.  You can also rent your own boat and create your own tour at Sam Smith's Boat Yard (6098 State Highway 80, Tel. 607- 547-2543), just two miles from the Village of Cooperstown.

What better way to learn about Cooperstown than by touring with someone who knows and loves the area with boundless affection and passion for the area? We have not personally been on his tour, but we're confident you'll get a wonderful  "101" introduction of Cooperstown. Paul is extremely knowledgeable about the area! Chuck and Trish D'Imperio at Cooperstown Walks also offers a detailed tour, two miles in length and "highlighting its many charms, people and folklore." For details of a tour of the familiar and hidden Cooperstown, please visit the Cooperstown Walk Web Site.
